Red-spotted Purple (Limenitis arthemis astyanax) (a form of the white admiral)

This little "guy?" sat ever so patiently on a rock, until I was done shooting him! It was taken 7/98 at the marvelous Biltmore Estare in Asheville, NC (meadow area).

Spicebush swallowtail (Papilio troiluom)

Also taken 7/98 at the Biltmore, this one was in the fantastic walled garden. I shot thru one roll one this one, alone!

Tiger Swallowtails

These were resting and drinking water, along side the waterfall at the Biltmore Estate. It was *magical*! They fluttered through the mist, and waited for me to shoot them!

Malachite

I took this shot at Butterfly World, in Pompano Beach, FL (near my home of Boca Raton, FL!). It is one of my all time favorite pictures.

Monarch

Visited the Corkscrew Sanctuary in Naples, FL, and found this "guy" to be extremely cooperative.
